Mantoulan
Jurançon sec
Mantoulan is the name of a little locality at 500 m in the West side of Clos Lapeyre. It is a famous old “terroir” that we replanted in high density with traditional grape varieties from Jurançon which were field selected in other quality vineyards : Petit Manseng, Courbu, and Camaralet.
2006 is the first vintage for this top-of-the-range dry JURANÇON SEC. It is a blend of 70% Petit Manseng, Courbu and Camaralet grapes. This wine has been vinified and aged for 18 months in young barrels after the malolactic fermentation.

La dégustation

With seductive brightness and clarity, and great purity, it manages its wood-ageing with panache. The palate balances perfectly power and firm structure. A fresh tightness brings persistance to the whole. La Revue du Vin de France. “Power, body, and terroir, a great dry white wine, with a depth worthy of the vintage... Score 15/20” Guide Bettane et Dessauve 2012.
